We’re Hiring: Practice Nurse at Canada Street Medical

Canada Street Medical is looking for a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team in the heart of Waterford City to cover maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who enjoys working part time in a supportive general practice environment and wants to be part of a patient-focused team that values quality care, teamwork, and professional development.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside our doctors, nurses, and administrative staff, delivering a broad range of nursing services including:

• Childhood and adult vaccinations

• Cervical screening and women’s health

• Chronic disease management (CDM)

• Phlebotomy and wound care

• Health promotion and patient education

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Nurse (NMBI) with experience in general practice or primary care

• Confident in phlebotomy, vaccinations and chronic disease management

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A patient-centred approach and genuine interest in community health

Experience:

• Nursing: 4 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) certification (required)

Work authorisation:

• Ireland (required)
